CHENAS 2024

Origin

Chénas, whose name comes from the granite slopes once planted with oak, is the rarest of the 10 Beaujolais vintages. It is known to be “a wreath of flowers placed in a velvet basket”.

Colour:

Deep ruby.

Nose:

Flattering, floral aromas with ripe fruit (blackcurrant, cherry) that then give way to subtle woody and spicy notes.

Taste:

Concentrated, but tender. It is typical of its appellation, with finesse and aromatic complexity.

Food-wine pairings:

Best enjoyed on a plate of parsley ham, coq au vin or a lamb shank.

Ageing: 1 to 5 years

Serve between: 13 and 15°C
